

Elias Maamari You Are Here For Now 2009
This popped up on my dashboard yesterday as I was leaving work. It’s simple and it makes sense and I usually don’t remember it.
Instead I sit at my desk on the eighteenth floor and wonder if I’ll ever get out of here, if people are capable of changing, what I am doing wrong. Work feels like going under in different ways on a daily basis: something about being twenty-four, about trying and not trying, about “doing something with your life,” about basic and larger tasks. There are times when I wish I could describe this place in great detail, but doing that on the internet is a great way to get yourself in trouble.
Walking in this morning they were taking the scaffolding down in the plaza across the street. I’ve been here for five seasons. And yeah, I guess I’m here for now.
